Meet The Team
From Woman, For Women. The Moon Club is a women’s community for transplants, boomerangs, and global citizens finding their place in the Midwest. We are a culture and leadership hub dedicated to inspiring, engaging, and empowering women through leadership education, culture workshops, and curated networking experiences.
Founded by Chen, MBA, PhD — a leadership coach, scholar, and change agent for many Silicon Valley Tech Founders— The Moon Club is built on the belief that "leadership is a mindset, and women are catalysts for meaningful change."
Our program integrates unique cultural experiences and leadership workshops and roundtables rooted in self-awareness and Cultural Intelligence (CQ). Based on research, strong CQ enhances performance, adaptability, and well-being, making it essential for women leading in a global, multicultural world (Rockstuhl et al., 2011 ).
Join us for thoughtfully curated social gatherings, transformative cultural experiences, and build meaningful connections that elevate how we learn, grow, and lead.

Chen Huang, M.B.A, Ph.D., facilitates change by leveraging more than a decade of practical business experience and theoretical knowledge to guide and inspire leaders to a new way of thinking and leading.
With a strong academic foundation in female leadership studies, she is devoted to supporting and empowering women entrepreneurs globally.
She began her journey at Deloitte Consulting before founding her women’s empowerment organization. Beyond research and leadership work, she expresses her creativity through classical music, piano, violin, Ballet and pottery-making — believing that art and leadership share the same root: presence, curiosity, and courage.

The Moon Club- Where Women Leaders Connect Through Cultural Experiences.
The Moon Club is dedicated to providing a private and elegant space where women from diverse backgrounds come together to inspire, engage, and empower one another. Our club is devoted to curating extraordinary experiences and enriching educational events that honor women in leadership, while celebrating culture and diversity.

“When cultures are honored, diversity becomes not difference, but strength.”
The concept of ‘The Moon Club’ was rooted in Eastern philosophy and mindset coaching methodologies, creating a unique space where the East meets the West, ambition meets introspection. With a commitment to discretion, elegance, and depth, The Moon Club attracts high-achieving women who value intentional growth, meaningful connection, and a refined space for cultivating both influence and inner harmony.
Experience Culture
“Culture roots us, tradition steadies us, and diversity expands us.”
Culture and tradition are more than rituals or history — they are the threads that connect people to their identity, community, and sense of belonging. They shape values, perspectives, and the way we engage with the world.
When we honor culture and tradition, we:
-
Preserve wisdom — passed down through generations, traditions carry lessons about resilience, cooperation, and meaning.
-
Create a sense of belonging — cultural practices provide comfort and connection, especially for people far from home.
-
Foster respect — understanding another’s culture deepens empathy and reduces barriers.
*Our programs integrate unique cultural experiences and leadership roundtables rooted in self-awareness and Cultural Intelligence (CQ) — a proven, trainable capability that predicts leadership effectiveness beyond IQ and EQ.

The Five Elements—Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water—are a traditional Chinese framework for understanding how the world works. They describe the natural patterns of life: how things grow, change, interact, and return to balance. Each element represents a type of energy and a stage in a cycle.
Wood symbolizes growth and new beginnings, Fire represents activity and passion, Earth offers stability and nourishment, Metal reflects structure and clarity, and Water embodies rest, flow, and renewal. Together, the Five Elements help explain harmony in nature, health, personality, relationships, and even leadership.
